WE Should Keep Traveling..... Why ?

Why You Should Travel Now

If you surveyed 1,000 people asking them what they wanted to do with their lives you would predominantly get generic answers along the lines of get married, have kids, be happy, travel, just to name a few. Sadly, most people never fulfill this last goal: to travel.

Coming from a small town, which most people have never even heard of, I grew up around people who rarely left our tiny county; the furthest some had ever traveled was to the closest city to buy groceries.
There are many reasons why people never take the time to travel and see different parts of the world other than the ones they are used to. Some being:

1. Traveling can be scary

You are in new places surrounded by people you have never met or even spoken to. Traveling forces you to go outside of your comfort zone.

2. Traveling can be expensive

Everything in life costs something. Every trip you take does not have to be an over-the-seas bank breaker. Short day trips are often times the most fun.

3. They believe they are too young or too old to travel

Many times people believe that traveling is an activity reserved to those who have retired from successful careers and now have the time and money to dedicate specifically to traveling. If you always wait until the conditions are perfect to do something, you will miss out on great opportunities.
I have been fortunate enough to do some traveling and from my experiences, traveling is an activity for the young and the old. The outgoing and the shy. The small-town girl and the city boy. Traveling has taught me more about myself and the world around me than any teacher or textbook could. The most important lesson anyone can learn from traveling is appreciation.
